Anybody changed their fatboy bars for the deluxe bars with risers-they look good to me but don't
know how comfortable they would be- the fatboy bars hurt my back so I changed to the
heritage bars which are comfortable but don't look so good without the windshield.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Terry
How about it softail deluxe owners-how do you like your bars?
Thanks
Terry
I love my Deluxe bars. I test rode both the Heritage and the Deluxe with the intention of buying the Heritage. First, test rode the Heritage. I hated the bars. They re like shot ape bars and very uncomfortable (and I'm 6'1"). I next rode the Deluxe and they positioned me perfectly. My previous bikes were stock panhead and shovelheads which were more of the buckhorn style. The Deluxe bars alone were enough for me to change my mind. Of course, that's just what I like.
I changed my Deluxe bars to bikini beach bars only for the looks; they were quite comfortable and a good second in looks imo to the beach bars. I have the original bars and risers with hardware and if you do decide to change, I'll give you a pretty good deal on the entire package. Good luck.
Hey Retro, how did you modify your console? Looks like you have chrome instead of leather, and it also looks like your speedo is chrome instead of the black. I have been looking for a similar solution for my Deluxe and your set-up looks pretty hot. Thanks.
