But there is his address and phone number but i don't think i'll call him.

sorry man I'll explain the 14k. i got.

I know nadda about the cost of bikes. I searched the web to see what the value of these things are and the one website i came across was listing things with an avg of 14,o0o. CL obviously was a bit lower but not much was for sale around my area and none with the year and model.

I am into the bike less than $3,000 really.

as far as up date. new year is around the corner, i don't have a truck to use yet to move the bike to the mechanic. But he did look at the bike and put together a parts list and is now lookin at getting them as affordable as possible.

I will keep updates and with pics if possible. the mech will be working on the bike mostly alone tho.

Thanks for all the input guys.

I just got to say this, and then we'll see what turns out. First, there is no way in hell you will know frame damage by looking at it. Especially if you know nothing about scoots. The next thing is this. You must have one hell of a mechanic to be able to look at photos of the bike or to even look at it in person and tell what it's gonna need. I think you paid about $1200 too much for it, but I really hope I'm wrong here. Good luck with your new project, and I hope it all works out for ya.

Good luck, do not pay attention to the guys who all have lot of money to toss around. If you like the bike, fix it up, for the parts you listed, I could get it done for below 2k, 3K it would look awesome. My only fear would be the frame. I would get a book, and forget paying someone to fix it up for you. It's and 03 Harley, nothing on it you can't do yourself.

DO NOT PAY 14K for that crap. You can damn near buy a new one for that!

i'll include more pictures of the bike. funny thing about it tho is that it seems real cosmetic. i'm wondering how it fell down cause the foot boards are not scuffed and only the break lever and both of the same side blinkers are broken.

I'll put some pics inside

You do not appear to be able to read either, he paid $3000, and thought the market value was 14,000(which it is not).

There is one more way to look at this. Most of us have more money in our bikes than they are worth. We buy them in nice or new condition then start removing perfectly good parts and replacing them with ones we like better to make it "special." He may well wind up with more in this bike than it will be worth, but it will be his and the way he likes it. I guess the saying "time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time" could be modified to justify these bikes for all of us.
