You know I could not get mine loose with a cheater bar, it just slipped. Someone else on here suggested a soldering iron to heat the bolt, it worked.

Make darn sure you are using the right torx bit. Mine were a pain to get off but not unbearable. I used a torx socket on a 12 inch ratchet for leverage and was real careful of the paint. Good luck.

Smile Thanks for all the fast replies

The idea with the soldering iron is great, I will try it. Right now I am rewiring my handlebar putting all the wires inside -- the forum is just great.

Impact wrench with the right torx bit should do it.

I got mine out with the long Torx keys and a vise-grip ... ruined one torx bit but got them out! (also has some careening going on)

When you get them out head down to your local Ace, Lowes etc and grab some chrome Deep Allen Head Bolts and chrome washers and toss those soft Torx heads in the trash. The deep allen head wont strip and will look sharp. I have them on my Bones and I swap my fender out every weekend so my wife can ride with me. The Torx would have stripped a long tome ago.
