Just got a 2010 deluxe for the wifey, I am looking to lower it @ 1". Already put a reach seat on it but just need that one more inch (story of my life). I don't see where progressive offers any but I have read where people are using 422s, has anyone done this?

With the 422's you can keep it at stock height or anything you want down to 2" below stock. I bet you will want more than 1" once you lower it. If you can afford a new bike, get the 422's. IMHO don't get the lowering bolts, but they are just $25 to $100 depending on the brand and dealer, however goto Progressive Suspension's website download the pdf file on installation of 422's and how to set the shocks ride height and firmness. After you see if this is something you can handle, order the shocks. If its above your head get the bolts off ebay and get an independant garage in the area to put the bolts on. Since you already got the seat done that was a wise choice to do first, The stock Deluxe seat is to wide for most woman.
Let me add one more thing, if you lower the bike just be careful how she parks it unless you change the kickstand out. Try to always angle the bike where as the kickstand is on the down hill side when you park. Thats all I do and I run a stock kickstand.
