so i ordered the drag specialist 1 1/4 buffalo 18in black bars for my xbones. the risers are too wide. what did you guys do to get tall apes on your springers. what brand of bars did u guys use. i am so confused. any help would be awesome.
There's springer-specific bars out there that you need. Drag Specialities makes several that'll work fine with your application. Just make sure you get the one that is labeled "Springer."
+1 on the Wild 1 Chubby's. Just make sure you order the ones designed for a Springer. What's nice about them is that they are the thicker bars that still work with the stock risers.
springer bars are different ....the standard size for HD bars are 3 1/2 ( I think) .. springers are wider ... it must say on the description "for HD springer style " risers ... check out chromewerks or paughco
I went with the 1" , 16 hi ..they looked "less" bulky then the 1 1/4.. thats just my thought ... here is a shot of the mock~up ... there kromewerks ... and out getting PD blk
