I went with the 1" , 16 hi ..they looked "less" bulky then the 1 1/4.. thats just my thought ... here is a shot of the mock~up ... there kromewerks ... and out getting PD blk
the thing is i want black bars. i guess i could get them powder coated. i am about 1 inch away from makeing my own bars.
Great looking ride. I have the 08 bones as well but in denim blue color and I've got the same great pipes, just installed them actually & I love the way they look & sound..awesome deep V&H sound...you know what I mean
Anyways, regarding the bars, did you have to get a specific riser to fix those on the bike or what is the deal? I have been thinking about apes or ez apes for some time but I do not know how to go about regarding the riser and the length of the cables?
you need to buy bars that say for springer on them. wild 1 bars makes some good ones that is what i went with. and a good rule of thumb is if you are going to a 16 in bar you need 10in over stock length and if you are going 18in apes you need 12in over stock. this should get you going. a lot of it is guess work. and the boys at harley are not that willing to help as they want you to have them do it.
