Getting narrow burly's and plan to put em on a 1.5" riser. I'm 6'2" and we have an shoulder hieght law for apes here in IL (that im not really concened about but) I would like to have them about shoulder height. I did the broom stick test and got 14" from the tree. so naturally i was thinking 12" + 1.5" = about 14. But it seems that alot of people wish they would have gone 2" taller and I dont want that problem. so do I go 12" or 14"? Need opinions from guys with apes. Really wanna order em but I'm just not sure which way to go.
See pic in sig, 16's and 3, I am 5'11" and wish they were taller. I would have gone with another bar but really like the narrow bottomed Burly's, so that is all I could have done.
Go 14, at the very least. I am 6'2 and just installed 16" Wild-1's on low 1.5 risers, and I could not be happier.
Just remember, you do not hear too many people complain that they should have gone lower! Also, if you do end up with the 14's, get your cables a couple inches longer than you need, because more than likely you will end up buying 16's. And the swap will atleast not entail swapping your cables again....
