Default Front End Lowering Help......

Alright guys. What I have is the the Progressive Front end lowering kit. Going to lower the forks 2". Have the progessive instructions but it only shows pics of the inside of the forks... Does not show the tear down of the forks. Have not done this before but have tool knowledge and down mind tearing things down to learn. But dont know where to start. Can someone pm, call, or post some instructions for me. I have two other buddies that want this same thing. Thanks Rob 903-456-7913 I will be calling Progressive tomorrow so I dont want to sound like a 3rd grader on the phone. Thanks guys..

Honestly look on you-tube. I think they have a couple of videos showing how to do it. I have taken mine apart a couple times and it really isn't too much to it. I don't know where my instructions are or I'd email them to you.

I watched the standard softail video but do not know how different the heritage forks are from them.

Sorry, didn't realize yours was a heritage. Don't those slider covers just bolt to the triple trees? If so the fairing and the covers should just unbolt. The forks are all the same underneath, I have fatboy fork tubes one mine. More work granted, but should only add another twenty minutes.
Maybe someone with a fatboy or heritage will chime in soon.

This is how I did mine:
Take all the headlight assembly off and passing lamps, wrap them in towels and let them hang down by the wires. Take the front tire off.
Take the front fender off (optional). Take the fork oil fill bolt out at top. Loosen the pinch bolts and let the tubes drop down from the upper triple tree about 6 to 8 inches and tighten back pinch bolts. With no pressure on the forks (should be no pressure with tire off and forks all the wat extended) take the spring retaining bolt out , The head of it is flat on only 2 sides, an adjustable works great to remove it. The spring retaining bolt will jump up with a little pressure so be warned to hold it tight when it gets ready to come out. Then install kit as instructions say and reverse this order.
