exhaust leak

what is the best way to check for a leak at the heads?

Spray wd 40 at the exhaust port on the head while the bike is running. If the speed of the idle changes when you spray it you have a leak.

Sprayin WD40 will tell you if you have an exhaust leak?

My bad, i was thinking of an intake leak. For an exhaust leak you should have decel popping if you do. You should be able to feel air at the head where the pipe connects and it will be black and sooty.

If you smoke...crank the bike..and blow smoke around the port... if it moves you have a leak....if you don't smoke...then find someone who does! Also...what Dr. V-Twin said...
