Default Lowering Crossbones

Tried a search a while back, but got a lot of weird info. What ways can one go about lowering the CrossBones' rear? I know it is already lower than stock softails. Will the lowering "kits" like the bolts and what not still work? What all methods have you guys used?

X2 on this. I bought some lowering bolts off ebay to use until I decide on an air system. Will they work on my Crossbones? Can the Bones be lowered with bolts from stock??

You need a press to install them or to take them to a shop where they have a press to get the old ones pressed out and the new ones pressed in. Ride quality i cannot help with.

I have an 07 Softail Custom and lowered it 2 inches with the bolts. Looks great but rides FIRM. I rather like it but can see where it might be a little rough for those who like a smooth ride.

I got a cheap $20 set off Fleebay for a very temporary fix until I get my RSD rear fender kit. At that time, I will be hitting up Dr. V-Twin for an air ride system.

I used the Burnout Cycles kit. You can get them on JP Cycles. They are advertised as plug and play, but a little fanangling has been reported by a couple of members who have used them. Good luck.
