Based on comments here, I got a pair for x-mas. Haven't stuck them on yet. To me, they distract from the look of the bike. They look like fangs. Next time I take a long trip, I'll try them and see how they work. Might never take them off. By the way, I don't like the look of windshields either. Thought I'd just use it for long rides, but it provides too much comfort, haven't taken mine off and don't plan to. Just getting fat and lazy in my old age.

I hear that. I even went as far as to put a faring on my Heritage. I thought I'd use it "just for long trips", but I like it and the tunes so much , I rarely take it off..

I felt the same way the first time I saw them, but having them on my new bike since day 1, I think the bike actually looks better!! To each their own, as they say
Have them on mine and love the way they cut down on the wind hitting the bottom of my 3/4 helmet. I don't like the way they look like freaking fangs though, but I'll leave them on. Between them and the w/sheild, I don't get beat-up by the wind at high speed.
Personally I think they work great. I got them to reduce buffetting that was happening once at 65 or over. For me it got rid of the buffetting almost entirely.
I swear sometimes it really seemed to throw my head around.
