Rocker D..from all the posts you may have gathered a few truths. #1 Be very leary of what a dealer tells you..they always recommend the MOST & MOST expensive way after all they are in the business of selling a trademark. example: go to ANY HD dealer and ask your question I bet they ALL tell you you "have" to do air filter & first stage, dyno etc if you change your pipes. #2 Talk to some "local" HD riders and find out who they use as an Indy and for what..check them all out..go in a talk to them, ask questions..eventually (won't take long) and you will find 1 or 2 around that you can trust to lead you right. I know people who would not go to an Indy for a valve stem cover as it has to be from a dealer to be right in their minds..that's cool for them..then I know guys who would never use a dealer no matter what is was for..that's cool for them too..then you have the rest of us that use a dealer from time to time and an Indy as well..why?..because we took the time to figure out who did what best and now that's cool for us too. Do your homework & soon you'll be lovin it all..it's all about the ride and nothin else.
ROCKER D, its been my experiance that anytime you pose a question to someone thats stands to benifit monitarly based on the answer that he/she gives you-your gonna 98% of the time get screwed. that being said, the people on this forum stand nothing to gain nor loose due to the advice offerd. but still when asking a question to god knows how many, you will get many differant opinions, some based soley on blind belief and others based on solid experiance and knowledge. in the end your research and common sense will tell you which way to go.I am telling you right now that you can put those or any other pipes on it and ride problem free. as long as they have 02ports your ecm will adjust the fuel to the stock 14.7 that your running right now and thats a fact. is that a little lean yea. is that optimum for performance no. is it gonna damage your bike absolutely not. end of story

Thanks again everyone....And once again im sorry for lashin out and being a big ***...just because somone else is doesnt meen i have to be...thanks again..
RockerD, Pipes alone means no tune, or fuel management, I have pipes, and I'm fine, I'm no expert, but I own an auto repair shop, not bikes, autos, and from experience, you're more than safe. For those that are quick to talk **** behind a computer, oh well, you'll never be able to stop that, just move on, and enjoy your bike, and it'll coast the pretty penny sooner or later, that's Harley for you.
My wallet like many others is thin right now. If it were me with a thin wallet and new to harleys, I'd get the pipes you want, find a hi flow air cleaner and spend $150 for the dealer stage 1 download which will richen your fuel mix. Keeps everything simple for ya, no worries about runnin too lean and the bike stays under warranty. Most importantly, your bike will sound, run and feel better when riding it. Not the case with just pipes...
You can always spend more $$$ later on more complicated stuff like a PC, Thundermax, TTS, cams... learn about your bike first, then start goin nuts!

Good luck and welcome, you have a sweet ride!
Thanks man...the only bad thing is the dealer does not do the stage 1 downloads anymore they make u buy a tuner...has any one else heard this or is itjust the shitty town i live in.."another way to make more money"
That's just a shitty dealer, and I wouldn't bother with that even if they did offer it. I'd rather wait until I had the money and "did it right" with a PCV or whatever fuel management system you choose.
Don't sweat that bone head, troll -aviator, obviously ate up and never fully adjusted to civilian life so he has to talk down to people to feel like he's still in.
