It seems that people either love or hate the rear fender on the Deuce, but for me, the Deuce's fender and stretched tank is the best part of the Deuce.

I love both and had the opportunity to chose a green Train over my purple Deuce but I love the rear fender and the tank on the deuce.

"I can hear that thunder in the distance, like a train on the edge of the town."

Nah, it's probably just my Deuce that you hear... lol

I ride a Deuce...dropping rear 1-1 1/2" helps a lot with the awkward rear fender that looks a little "dirt bike" when stock height...but then so does the "perky" kicked up tail on the Train.
Cutting down the large license plate bracket to the size of the plate helps clean up the rear view as well. To me the Deuce looks balanced and flows together well with the extended tank, forks etc working together. I have slightly longer bars to help with the reach but they look stock. Even the stock seat looks OK but there are a LOT of options for the seat. In one shot is the LePera Sorrento which I like best of 4 tried...like all "comfortable" seats it gives up a little in looks. More shots in my linked site. John

I agree with you about lowering the rear so it fills up fender better. I lowered mine, but only 1" as I didn't want to take away too much suspension travel.

train = 1000x better looking, not a fan of the rear fender or the look of the tank on the deuce. tank doesn't look bad from the side but sitting down on it makes it look weird.
