Been reading lots of threads about tires. Need to replace a rear tire on a 4.25 18" wheel. The front is a Metz 140x70 with lots of tread left. Would like some tire recommendations that are 160x70. Seems like Metz are popular although not everyone gets reasonable, 7k+, mileage out of them. And, the Metz ME 880 only come in a 160/60 18".
you can get a 170 on that rim, avon good tyre and reasonable price,i now have a bridgestone, metzlers look the best but more expensive
160 is the widest on my 06 without mods.
Which Avon do you recommend?
Which Bridgstone are you using? Found BT-021 for $115 shipped. Not sure if they are good for softail and 2up riding and the 160 is only available in a 160/60 18". My front is a Metz 140/70 18". The Metz ME880 18" 160 is only available in a 160/60 also. Is it bad to match up a 70 front with a 60 rear?
