2001 fatboy runs rough
Guys, new to HD got cancer so sold off my goldwing as my brother stated you gotta own one once in your lifetime.. bought 2001 fatboy 6400 miles.
V+H longshots K+N filter runs rough when you hit the gas, coughs but will smoth out and run just breaks up when you hit the gas especialy in higher gears. added new fuel, sea foam, new platinimum plugs from HD, cleaned air filter, pulled choke (carborated) out when driving and no change. HD dealer states 45 days to get appointment..any ideas? idles smooth reves great when not in gear. never been out in the rain plug connections, module connections all tight and clean

Mine did the same thing when I bought it. Rode it home and blued my V&H longshots bad. Got it home and took the carb off after I ordered a new DynaJet Thunderslide kit. Thought the main and polit jets was just stopped up but when I took the diapram cover off I found a ripped rubber diaphram. Ordered a new one from HD and rebuilt the the carb and now runs like a champ. The carbs are real easy to rebuild so just research it a little and then have some fun and cold ones in the garage.
