Too be honest I did not know that was what was recommended, and yes I do have the manual for my 04 Train. So what you saying is that instead of changing my fluids every year before storage, I could get away with changing my fluids as stated above, as per mileage and everything would still be up to par?

Far as the primary and tranny I don't know of anyone that changes them out before winter storage. Some change out the crankcase. I don't. Never really consider my bike stored since if there's no salt or ice on the road I'm riding it.
Guess it comes down to how much you want to baby your engine. Way I look at it why waste $40 a year on an oil change so you can maybe, maybe stretch a few more miles out of the engine. I've been driving for over 35 years and I've yet to wear out an internal combustion engine, and I don't expect to have a different result with my Heritage.
