Now that is an awesome mod... Maybe someone could look up the connector numbers and build a connector kit? that way its pretty much just plug and play. Ill go threw the thread and get the list of parts, and try to find some numbers. Later I will pick your brains for the wiring changes, and see if I cant do them in a small Swap Harness.
Thanks for the great Idea!! Mind if I post this over at FXCW.Org??
I love this mod and would be interested if you came up with a "connector kit"

You really don't need a harness.. You have to change the plug on the harness running into the new coil.. You have to change the ignition wire plug running to the new ignition switch.. You have to change the plug running into the new 5" speedo.. I used the stock harnesses, just had to change 3 plugs..
I am interested in trying to install one of the new speedo/tach gauges on my 2009 rocker c. Problem is they don't make one of the new ones in a 4" gauge for 2008-2010 models. But I have figured out that they make a 5" version for softail models. So I was thinking that I could do this deuce dash install and incorporate one of the new 5" speedo/tachs on my rocker. Any ideas if this would work?
I am wondering if I didn't change the grenade style coil like Rail did, I wouldn't have to change as much of the wiring stuff. I am new to all this Harley stuff and thankfully there is a huge group of people on here to ask questions to.
the coil mod is very easy!!! search it in here cause someone laid it ALL out with pics. i modified the horn bracket, mated it with the modified seat post bracket, used same gauge wire to extend the coil wires and soldered and shink tubed them. then you gotta get some bitching plug wires like from USKOOLINES. sorry, didnt mean to hijack your thread
I did the deuce console swap, used speedo/tach 74744-08 was plug n play, coil from 08 nightrain, same plug n play had to extend ignition switch wires and tie the indacator light. picked up coil relocation on ebay from DK Custom Products and had them make up the wire extension.
Hi Ive been reading lots of posts on this and I can not find a step by step post on how to switch from RockerC to Deuce dash. If someone can post me a link to it or if they have it step by step. Please help me. I hate looking for my key in the dark stuck somewhere between the jug and primary. It has happened to many times. Thanks
I have a question regarding the rewiring and modification. Could you not just make a connection extender going from original switch connector up to the new switch location on the dash? The wiring diagram shows three wires for each. This would still leave the grenade coil down on the bottom and basically just disable that key switch because it wouldnt be plugged in. Instead make a wire harness of those three wires from that connector to a switch connector on the dash. Then you wouldnt have to deal with too many mods and you could still have the grenade look with a false switch down there. Cost of connectors and pins would run about $15 plus the wire. Seems like that would be extremely easy.
