Im looking at an 03 100th Anniversary Fat Boy. I will eventually want to paint it. How many of you guys painted the original tins not caring about the anniversary paint scheme? How many painted new tins?

Your bike....Your way......

I have left my tins alone..I like the two tone stock paint.......

I don't think it will add or subtract value at this point

I bought used tins cheap off of e aby and kept the originals,I have since sold off some of the original stuff, but still have the tank.I found no takers trying to sell them as a set,but you can find guys who are looking for a fender or tank or whateverto match what they have and they're willing to pay a pretty hefty price since you can't get the anniversary tape.i had removed the tank emblems, never really liked them, they brought $150.00 on ebay

I went the opposite. My 2000 FB was bright yellow (got a deal on it) and then I found the black anniversary tins with 50 miles on them and switched.

If I ever decided to change colors I think I'd buy new tins and save the anniversary that are 'proper' for the bike. I could always put them back on, sell them, or package them with the sale of the bike if/when I ever decided to sell. M2CW....

H-D flooded the market with those bikes and they're about as common as bare feet...

Paint it if ya want...
