I'm 5'9 and wanted the bars a little lower and closer
I went with White Brothers Burly Bars - Knuckle Bar 33.5 wide with a 5" rise 14" Center and 12.5" pullback
Had to change the cables out, but I really like them.
Shep... If I am right, I just figured out the Wide Glide bars.. 56079-93 Thats the stainless version. Correct? Look forward to seeing the pics and internal wiring!
Yep, thats the number. The ones in chrome are 56079-93T. You cannot use the chrome ones if you are going to run the wires internally. The chrome will peel when you drill through the bars.
I did not run my wires internally yet. I plan on doing that when I am sure what bars I want to go with.
I have done what you are considering doing with the turn signals, putting them on the lower tin bolts. If you want them to stick out a little bit from the forks, use a longer bolt with a chrome spacer. That's what I did.
The turn signals plug in under the gas tank. You will have to remove the tank to unplug them. I cut and splice wiring all the time since most of the time it's easier.
