Yeah, I put the short smoked black frame windshield on my 09 Cross bones and it does take the wind off the chest at highway speeds. I don't mind the looks of it being on there too much, at least it does not cover up the springs. In fact being it is the smoked shield with the black frame parts it is almost invisible when sitting in the parking lot at work.

Nice bikes! Who makes the windshield and what dimensions on the 2009 Crossbones? Looks larger than the 58073-09 offered by H-D, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I either have to duck forward a bit or sit way back. Or in some cases the wind is calm enough that it doesn't matter but it is all hit or miss. I am sure that the tall one would remedy everything but I will just wait till I have to replace the lexan.

As for looks? That is all up to you and I wouldn't worry too much about what others may think so long as it makes you enjoy the ride better. I say that if you are even considering getting one and asking about them then you probably need to get one. You can check out some pics of my Bones with a windshield on my profile page if you like.

Good luck.
where do you get the taller windshield? HD website only shows the 15”
