I would NOT wait. It is much EASIER to install the stiffeners NOW and prevent problems. If you wait, leather will have shrunk and it is also harder to "straighten out". I used LeatherLid Inserts. Worked GREAT.
My Dad used the saggy bags kit. I think its a little over $100 and well worth the money. Its an easy do it yourself job. I wouldn't send them to Boss Bags to the same thing you can do yourself.
I would agree with the saggybag inserts. I did not even use the lid supports, just the piece that pushes the front and back.Also would recommend Doc Bailey's for you leather treatment. I use the leather Black, it works very good.
