If adding the signals back into the system fixes the issue, you will either have to permanently add them back some where or find a way to terminate the connection. Maybe some one who has done this can chime in.
Our laws demand we have signals all the way around.
The signals can be eliminated at the handlebars, without issue, when I installed my auxiliary light bar I moved them according to HD's instructions. A code for each will be stored in the BCM because the Can-bus system is not detecting their presence. This should not cause the symptoms Zlw5009 is experiencing.
Zlw5009, you really should have the electrical manual as well as the service manual for the situation you're in. Do you have any type of tuner installed on the bike? I am asking this because quite a few tuners have the ability to read trouble codes, and to get a good idea of what's going on you really need to read the trouble codes in the BCM. From the symptoms you're describing it sounds like neither switch module on the handle bars is communicating with the BCM. The best thing to do right now is to get a way to communicate with the BCM and run through the diagnostic flow charts found in the electrical manual for whatever codes are present.
rockstarlife86 that looks really good!!!! how well do the speakers on the crash bars sound and what kind of set up are you running?? been thinking about doing that myself.
Dang, y'all ever have problems getting pages to load on this site? Just took me 4 refreshes.
Anyway, this look is badass and exactly what I want. I originally looked at a denim street bob and you can put HD brown leather seats on those which I was going to do.
When I ended up deciding on the Lo I found out they don't make a brown seat for them. Pretty stupid that they make a brown tank bib and brown swingers bag but no seats.
Did you have custom made? What models are they?
Also, for those on here that have headlight visor rings, where did you get them. Harley store tells me they don't make any for the Lo. I need the big one plus two for some passing lights I'm having put on.

HD makes visor rings for the Fat Boy Lo Head light and Driving lights (see Sig pic). Only in Chrome though. If you want black, have them powder coated.

Ahh, bet that was the problem. I told them I wanted black. I'll see if they have any chrome ones in stock when I pick up the bike tomorrow.
