i love the look of the shift rod, but it's to long and he just kept lying to me of when he was going to ship it, even told me it had been through a couple of zip codes, when he didn't even drop it off to the post office till 7 days later. still hasn't emailed me to get it back
Typical knockover damage... anything that sticks out on the right side. Foot controls, grip, pipes, brake lever, rear signal... bars are tweaked. Not sure if they are bent or if they moved in their mounting.
I can't find where she hit it on the left to knock it over. May have been a case of plastic bumper not leaving a mark on whatever metal part she hit... maybe the other rear signal. I don't see any damage on the tins at all.
Well, got the figure for the estimate from the dealer... haven't seen the estimate yet, so I don't know how it all breaks down, but it's $1004.94. Pretty much what I had listed above. They loosened and adjusted the bars and believe them to be straight.
Hopefully they can get it all done and back to me before Christmas.
i added the lay down bracket from custom chrome, beings it was chrome i painted it black. also put devil head bolts on to hold down the plate and frame. 29 bucks shipped.
ain't much room under that fender for my monkey hands, with painting took about 45 mins. i put the fastening nuts from the fender to the bracket on the inside of the bracket. it's not flat, it's cupped, i guess so you can do so. it came with two different size rubber gaskets, one flat and one with a slant to lift the plate up a little higher which kinda defeats the purpose. had to get one, got tired of kicking the plate when throwing my leg over and bending it.
I'm starting to think about some apes, but I've never ridden a bike with them so I'm a little apprehensive. It seems like everyone who has them would never go back though, so maybe I should just take the plunge.
I'm 6'3" and it sounds like 16" would be a popular size for someone my height, but they look huge (but bad *** at the same time) when I look at pictures.
