i'm 6'1, i have 2 1/2 in risers and 14's, when i sit they are about even with my shoulders, so my arms can hang a little bit which is comfortable, so i'd say with a 2 inch riser 16's would be your best bet.. i put them on my super glide, had 3 1/2 inch riser with 8 inch mini, but since the bike sits higher and the rake making the front end a little higher then both sets are about the same height. i'll take a pic of the two bikes together when i get home so you can see..when i got the LO, the bars are ok, but it felt like my elbows were in my chest and my shoulders were up in my neck. had some friends look at my lo and they were not sure either till they sat on it. i sometimes think the height of the apes are an optical illusion, they are more comfortable than you would think
contrary to belief my hands and arms do not go numb. did 200 miles on both sat and sun last weekend. in the zone brother cruzin at 75, right foot under the brake and left foot to the edge with my heel
Yeah, that's what I dig about the floorboards is that you can put your feet wherever. I have thought about getting the Arlen Ness forward extensions for them, but 3" seems like a bit much... I'm not uncomfortable where they are, so I will leave them alone for now.
never though i would love the floor boards as much as i do. my feet were always dancing around on pegs trying to find a comfortable spot. now i'm always comfortable. love the heel toe shift!. here is that pic
driving myself nuts. i'm just about done with the mods. going to change the spark plug wires to blue, will eventually find the right linkage rod and find the right axle nut covers.. but with all my bikes i've had atleast one if not a few skulls on it. i love the skull on the crossbones on the oil tank, i'm thinking the oil tank as being my canvas. but i'm nervous about putting something. don't want to just put something there for the sake of doing it..either find a harley decal of the number 1 with a skull in it or just finding a cool skull..ugh..opinions welcome on this issue
Yeah, I know how it is on the crossbones... I feel like it works on there because of the "rat bike" kind of look that the crossbones already has going on. Our bikes are just a bit cleaner looking so that's why I don't know how well it would work.
This is all just my opinion though. If you dig it, then make it happen!
