my guess is that it's not wide enough to cover the recessed spot of the oem brake light.
You knew, didn't you? That's just evil man. But yeh, that's the problem. J&P site said it fit a 2014 FLSTFB so I took a shot. Wonder what their idea of fitting is? And it's a Drag Specialties product anyway, who says "will not fit 2014 FLSTFB." Damn this pisses me off! And yeh Gommee, I'll probably just go with a low profile if I can't make this fit. And that blue filter is gonna look great.

Most filters are white by nature. It is the oil that makes the color. K&N are generally red. There are some that are colored, but some manufacturers make colored oils like Bel-Ray, AFE, such. You can also get clear oil to have a white filter. There was a post here that a member got a black filter, not sure if it was just coated with black oil. I guess you would never see it dirty.
As for the tombstone, it is quite thin and the hole in the Fat Boy Lo fender is a big hole. I am so glad they did not put the Donkey D*ck on the softails.

no one likes a big hole, unless you do have a donkey d*ck
