As promised... Finally got a chance to install the Fatboy S console. Be aware it doesn't come with the $8 Ignition/Off/ACC insert decal. While It seems cheap that HD can't include an $8 sticker with a $200 part, I'm not sure it's missed.

thought i was done with the mods, but as one of my buddies on here told, that will never happen. So... i want to do some speakers for my tunes. i usually ride with earphones and my mp3 player. but i had a friend see me on the road and tried to get my attention, and didn't. so i thought hat can't be to safe. So. i'm thinking of doing an engine guard and mounting speakers ontop of it, and in the middle of the guard where it connects to the frame putting a small tool bag, inside will be the controller/amp and the wires.. i want an amp that has an FM tuner,USB plug and an SD card or blue tooth. Found a couple but keep reading reviews of blown speakers. This task is not going to be easy. In no hurry, want to do it right. here is the guard i'm thinking of and how i want to mount the speakers, but not doing that center console thing....any suggestion would be helpful

Looking for a set of detachable hard saddlebags for a 2016 Fatboy S. I have a set of Rhinehart Churchill pipes and cant find a single manufacturer that has bags that will fit. Anyone have any suggestions?

Those pipes don't look too outrageously positioned as far as pipes go unless the upper or the 2-inti-2 is a little higher than other configurations? Seems unlikely... I wonder if nobody will say the bags will fit because it's a '16 Fatboy S and nobody has done any fitment tests yet?... Strange.

Thanks
I run the HD Nostalgic Engine Guard as well as the Soft Brake. I believe it moves the brake out slightly as well as ahead an inch or 2. The guy at Softbrake asked me a few questions and set me up perfectly..... no fitment issues with the engine guard at all.

I also added a Pingel shift extender as well as the Kury ISO Extended Shift Peg. I was in an accident a few years back and needed to keep my left leg far to the left when riding. I ended up having surgery to fix the leg but found the shift setup was extremely comfy so I kept it that way.

The nostalgic engine guard looks best on the Lo's in my opinion. I've sat on several bikes with the mustache bars but the foot placement isn't as comfy as throwing pegs on a nostalgic guard. The protection on the mustache bars if ever you get up close and personal with the pavement also is not the greatest.

I ordered model 103 bags from leatherworks inc approx 10 days ago. The following are my opinions:

1. The company: I chose leather works based on some pictures i saw here and members recommendations. I was not disappointed. After some time spent looking at the companies website, I had some questions. I phoned the company and got a response back the same day. I think the return call came from the owner, or at least she is featured on some of their videos. She was extremely knowledgeable about their product and specifically fitment to my bike. She initially told me that it would take approximately 2 weeks to make and get the bags to me in Chicago from California. When I mentioned that I would love to have them in 10 days for a trip i had planned she said she'd see what she could do. The bags shipped in 3 days and I had them in 6. By the 7th day they were on the bike. Overall it was a great experience and real old school service you don't find anymore from mega outfits selling Chinese junk.

The bags: They are obviously a well made product. They aren't the cheapest, but they do feel like they could easily last 20 years, so well worth it.
If there are any members considering adding a swing arm bag, i suggest going in on a purchase of 103 bags with another member. They are small enough to not ruin the look of the bike, but big enough to actually put stuff in.

Ez brackets: Let me start by saying that while the installation video is good, it does show 2 people completing the project (they as well as i advise this). For 1 impatient person that couldn't wait for help, well, your bag might be slightly slanted
Overall, it took about 1 hour to install. On the Fatboy, the mounting points are offset, causing the brackets to be mounted on an angle. This recesses them enough that they are just slightly hard to access. They are stable and I did 300 miles yesterday with no problem.

Overall I rate the whole event a 9/10.
