Yeah, I don't like them when they constantly flash or strobe.
The LED tail I had on my warrior would do a quick, less than one second strobe when you first apply the brake and then be on solid. I feel like that's enough to help catch someone's eye.
^^This^^^ The idea is to just catch and hold somebody's attention for that second it takes them to make a decision to slow down behind you, not become another distraction that their brain dismisses as background noise.
i have this brake light in, it's a real dar red, almost black, but bright as hell. while up on a lift my buddy asked how bright, i pulled the lever and his head lit up like a christmas tree, he put his hands up to cover his eyes http://www.ebay.com/itm/281325212445...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
My LED tail light is bright, especially when the brake is on. No flashing, brake is on or tail is on, no in between. I understand why some flash, to get the attention of cagers, but it would be annoying as hell to follow.
The only lights left on the bike that are not LED are the front signals cuz the fast blinking dash annoys the hell out of me. If that bugs me, someone's flashing tail light may put me over the edge if I had to look at it all day.
