I installed a new speedo and black console on my Lo. Will not be able to ride due to the weather and a trip out of town. I really like the look.
Looks pretty much like the same set up going on my bike, but since they had to redo the powder coating I'm still waiting on it. However, I should be riding it sometime next week.
I was also thinking about painting a fine line of red along the edges of the black console where it originally used to be silver (between what should be now the satin black console and vivid black inlay). I figure some One Shot red paint ought to do the trick.
hey CaseyX what kinda bars are those and where did you get them from. That is what i am lookin for. What size are they?
BR Customs. 1.5 inch diameter, roughly 16" tall. The cool thing about BR is that you get design the bars to fit you and your bike. It's not quick, but to be able to order something as unique and custom as my bars and guards are, it's worth the wait. He'll ask you how far apart you want the grips (usually measured ring finger to ring finger), pull back, height, etc. He has some videos on his site and YouTube that will help you figure out how to do all of that, and of course you can call him. You can add options like webs and gussets among other things. You can even order them raw and have your local painter, plater or powdercoater do them up.
By the way, on that new speedo, there are 4 versions (8 if you count the KPH units). They come in spun aluminum (looks better IMO) and black, then there versions for 2011 Softtails with a 5" speedos (PN 74775-11 for the 2011 alum face version) and then for 2010 and older.
I just bought mine today...we need to change the name of this thead to "Calling All Fatboy Lo Owner's Wallets, frack, too late..."

For that matter, there is also a combination MPH/KPH combo version. I actually thought about pre-ordering the combo version when all of the 2010 versions were listed as being on back order (2011 were in stock at several dealerships). Instead, I ended up purchasing the 2010 MPH version on a VIP day after they received one unit in stock.

My cables will be here next week...I can't freaking wait to ride out with my Apes for the first time.
I have 1.5" BR Customs on my bike as well. Ordered mine raw and had them powdercoated locally. Guy does an awesome job and he's great to work with. Give him a call....he can talk your ear off about bars!
