Hey Cap'n Morgan. Here's my FB Lo in Silver Pearl w/ V&H Slip ons.
Hey, did you have to do any adjustments after installing the slip-ons? new breather or remapping? where did you get them from (part #)? Bike looks pretty amazing in silver.
Thanks bro!
Well, just picked up my new lo in Daytona last week. Drove it around for the 50miles of low speed at biketoberfest and rode it back to Michigan to get the remainder of break-in accomplished. Box stock, she wasn't too bad a ride home. I traded in a VTX 1800 for her. What a week and what a kick a$$ ride back on my new scoot. No windshield, no highway pegs, just me and the lo trucking on home. 1300 mile trip later and it's off for her first service tomorrow. The only thing I've put on mine so far is a few miles and some bugs and road grime.
I just sent mine off today for it's 5K mile service. They're washing her for me too. Now I just hope I can talk them into giving me a new rear tire under my tire warranty. I've never gone through a tire in 5K miles.
I am so stupid. Started my saftey course tonight. Last night I spent reading this thread. I thought I would Just purchase a lo and drive off into the sunset. Now I realise I need Street Slammer Bars, V & H slipons, etc, etc. Oh the pressure. I was 100% on the lo, then today at the dealer I was looking at a street bob CVO screaming eagle, Oh the pain. The Harley Bug is a curse.

Ya but if you get a CVO, then you're done. It'll already have EVERYTHING on it. Now what's the fun in that? You won't need to buy anything else for it (except maybe louder pipes). I say get the Lo and spend all that extra cash making it your own.
First off your bike looks great. I have 2 questions for you. How loud is that exhaust? That is the one I am leaning towards getting myself. Second question is, do you have a part number and brand for that laid back license plate frame?
FatBoy2010Lo - Thanks for the comment. The pipes are really not too loud. More of a deep throaty sound. If you want loud, I'd go for shortys or the V&H's 2 into 2. I've posted a youtube link earlier in the post so people can hear the sound, but I'll post again: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PdUO_hjNv4c
btw.. Youtube has a lot of Fatboy lo videos with different pipes. I'd look there for more info.
As far as the license plate, it's just the standard chrome lay back license plate mount HD sells that I had powdercoated = HD part # 60280007

Thanks so much for the reply. That is the sound that I am looking for, nice and throaty. Thanks for the part number on the plate mount as well.
