Hello, Fellow Lo bro`s.... got a question for ya `s....i`m starting to look into a jack for my lo.....what type of jack`s you guy`s or gals using...pit bull, sears, harbor freight...i`m like`in the j&s.....but hear the drain holes don`t line up....Thanks
I use a J&S jack. I don't know what people mean about drain holes lining up. Mine lined up Ok when I did the 5000 mile service this weekend. I guess if you lined it up wrong it might block them but that's probably true with any jack. A table lift would be ideal but of course those are about 1400 dollars and up. It was a pain to change out the transmission side cover, especially with the exhaust still on. I had to loosen everything up and squeeze it out. I'm not sure the clutch is adjusted properly. It seems stiffer but it's working fine with no dragging when pulled in. My exhaust and tuner should be here so it looks like the bags will be on soon. Maybe Thursday.

No doubt the J&S is far superior to most others. Never had a problem getting to the drain if the jack was placed right. But I could no longer use mine after I lowered my bike 1.5" and it would not fit under the wife's 883L. I guess if I rolled the bikes up on a couple of 2x6's it would work but I don't care for that idea. I bought the Sears yellow jack and it sit lower and works good for me. The bike feels just as stable on it as it did the J&S.
Bike looks great! How do you like those grips? They're one of my top two or three choices, still running the factory grips for now until I decided.
Love the horn cover too!
Thanks a million! Im liking the grips so far. 130 miles or so yesterday and my hands still went numb, but the wind was blowing like a mother. I think it has to do with holding on so damn tight, I had a parachute on behind me. (the wife). They are alot more comfortable than stock. The horn cover might go, I'm gonna relocate the coil now.
Just bought a new 2012 fatboy lo , getting some cams installed 255 and all the things that i need for it . does any one know if i install a power commander , would i really need it . also i want one of those memphies bullet fairings for it but i just cant seem to find one that they make for it , can u put one on from a fatboy .
Welcome to the forum and the Lo thread. Not sure if you need it for just cams. Are you changing your exhaust and Air cleaner? Seems to me that new cams without increased intake and exhaust is sort of a wast. But if you are doing stage 1 intake and exhaust you are going to need some sort of fuel management/tuner.

Harbor Freight aluminum, not the yellow one. Works fine. The only drain hole I worry about is the oil bag, I just jack it up enough to level the bike then drain. For the others I just service it on the ground.
