Im using the Barebacks kit aswell and have never had an issue with them. Going on 3 years.

Didn't take it as a dis at all...sorry if my response made it sound that way. Just saying there didn't seem to be the options two years ago. At least not what I could find anyway.

4,500 mile round trip to DC with this mod to the brackets. No issues, bags don't rattle like they used to, and it only took an extra couple of seconds to take the bags off at the hotel.
