Tried this on the do it yourself forum, hope to get help here. 03 fatboy, efi, speedometer down, no directional cancel. Research on this site points to VSS. The problem is the plug is in a hard to reach spot, and the old one does not want to let go. I don't want to damage the wire harness end. Do you push or pull the tab on the wire harness side? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Chris

 

The VSS is in there with a rubber o-ring. Move from side to side and twist gently and it WILL pop out. I had erratic speedometer readings and pull mine. There is a magnet at the bottom that collects small metal shavings that interfere with the readings. Just wipe with a paper towel and reinstall.
