Angry Another ape hanger install setback

So today, all the previous problems have been taken care of, and was going to wrap up this installation. All that's left is to put together the right side controls adjust the throttle/idle cables, and start putting everything together, when this happens...
The wire coming out of the back of the Engine Stop button breaks off right at the back of the switch. Talk about being pissed off. I'm about ready to say f*ck it and trailer it over to a shop and let them finish it. Cheap *** wiring harness from Taiwan.

Buy a new switch at the dealer. That sucks, but at least it is an easy fix.

Is there no way to drill out some of the broken connection then solder the wire back in? It's a win-win if you can do anything to make it work. Even if you can't make something work, you'll be in the same boat that you're in now.

Looks like it could be repaired, open up the hole a bit (use a dremel tool) re solder the wire then apply a dab of JB Weld Quick...it for will be ready install in 20 mins

I might just use the switches from the original wiring harness. At least they look a whole lot better made than the one's that came with the bars. Just have to get enough wire out of the bars.

Took the switch apart to see if that was doable. The wire broke off right at the metal tab inside the switch, and there's not enough room to re-solder and not hinder the movement of the switch internal arm.

I appreciate the idea's for fixing the situation.

Yeah Kuma, got them from HCC, although they're Wild 1 W502's.
In the process of taking the bars off (again) now. Might as well splice on the original switches (Engine Stop/Start). Then do the Horn and High Beam/Low Beam on the other side so at least the top switches match.
