Thanks everyone. I am really wantiing to get the side covers powdercoated black also but am not sure how to remove them. My manual doesnt really address the left side and the oil bag appears to be more work than its worth. Has anyone removed these covers on their bikes and if so was it a PITA?
Just unbolt the primary cover and it comes right off. The cam cover is the same although you might need to remove your exhaust. The oil bag is a bit more work. You need to remove the starter.

Thanks Drew. As far as the derby cover and timing cover go I got that with no probs. I was referring to the (2) side covers - oil bag and whatever that cover is on the left side that looks just like the oil cover. On my older sport that covber used to be a tool bag but I dont know what it is on the softails. Whats involved with getting those 2 covers off?
