Default Help with heritage

I'm trying to help a friend get her 2000 heritage running. It has been sitting for awhile but ran before. although it was hard to start. Put a new battery in it. It checked out at 12.7 volts. Tried to start it, nothing. Turns over fine, is getting gas. Pulled the plugs to check for spark no spark at all. Where, what do I start to check? Thanks

You can also pull a sparkplug, put it back in it's cap and make sure it's in contact with the head. Crank the engine and you should get a nice fat spark. Make sure the kill switch is in the run position. You wouldn't be the first.
