Default question for crossbones owners

I was hoping to remove the pin stripping and 'harley davidson' on the fuel tank and fenders and leave the tin work as just matte denim black. Can you remove them, they look like they are simple decals rather than painted on, or, will I need to get it all sanded back and resprayed? Hopefully you can peel them off???? Any advice would be graet, cheers S

I think it's painted on and it has a clear coat over it. Soooo, you wouldn't be peeling that off. I still have my pin stripping on the tank; I might lose it this winter.

if it is a decal, I am pretty sure its "sealed" somehow.

Just had mine done a month ago. From what my guy told me is that harley has somewhere between 5-7 coats of clear overtop the decal. He had to strip mine all the way down and repaint it, but it looks amazing. Just an idea but when he did mine i had him smooth the center seam also so i no longer need a tank bib, heres a couple pics. Yours might be different though because its the matte paint, not sure...

no rowdy, i think you are correct even on the denim paints. I have seen guys on here say that the only difference between vivid and denim black is the denim lacks a clear. I have a guy here who is a very reputable body guy and custom bike builder who told me they do clear the denim, its just a matte clear coat.

It is in fact a decal but as several have stated, that decal is then sprayed over with clear (gloss or denim) to seal it in so you would at least need to sand it down past the clear coat to get rid of it.

Default cheezy skull cover up

I experimented with a number of magnets and decals, the one I have now is the best so far - holds up to the heat, rain and washing, Its a vinyl army emblem intended for vehicles, trimmed just right, I now have something meaningful instead of silly.
