Default Hope my electrical experience can someone else

2000 Fatboy carb kept shutting down while riding at various speeds. New battery, checked the stator and volt reg, everything charging good. Pulled the harness, checked for shorts, nothing. Thought it was the master circuit breaker kicking off, replaced it, still happened.
In talking with a bud, we discussed what was happening. It would die, gauges would quit, but the lights were still on. Voltage was still around 13. I would turn the ignition switch on and off and bike would refire immediately. If it was the master circuit breaker, it would take some time to cool down and reset.
In checking the schematics, I got a hunch and went to the bank angle sensor. I got my magnet out and ran it around and didn't hear anything. I started the bike, moved the magnet and got the bike to die. Tried to restart, no go until I switched the ignition off and on. Fired it back up, moved it again and it died.
When I first started with the magnet, I could not hear anything going on. Once I moved the magnet around a few times, I could hear the ball drop when I removed the magnet.
Took it to the coast yesterday, about 100 miles down Hwy 1, almost 300 miles in the last 2 days, nothing but smiles for me. Not 1 shut off, sun was shining over the Pacific ocean, only thing I forgot was sunscreen.
Hope this can help others keep the rubber turning.

Thanks for the tip. Where is the bank sensor located on your bike?

It's located in front of the rear tire. You remove the plastic cover you see from the right side and you'll find your master circuit breaker, turn sig module and bank angle sensor located there. The bank angle sensor can pick up metal on it (it has a magnet inside) and it can cause it to keep it from functioning correctly.
