The baffles are easily removed with one screw. If they are tight a little coaxing will get them out. I liked the BSS pipes but got a deal on the Double Barrels for 275 shipped brand new so I couldn't pass them up. The shields are from http://www.rjsoriginals.com/
The DB's were a little quiet with the stock baffles so I put BCT QQ's in. Nice!
Joe, I decided to get the V&H true duals with fishtails. I got a great price at Motor City Performance Plus, out of Plymouth, MI. I found them on ebay, with the fishtails and free shipping I paid $734.40. Their phone number is 888-527-1390. Let them know that the exhaust are in ebay, part #16735, they fit 2007-10 Softails.

Congratulations! Great looking pipes! I particularly like the look of V&H's tru-dual design.
Please get back us after you've had them on a while. Would appreciate your opinions on sound, power, heat, etc.
I have the V&H Duals and the heat coming off of the left pipe is pretty intense. I am not sure if this is an issue w/ Sampson pipes. I really like the sound and performance gains with the V&H.
Thunderheader for me. Excellent performance, deep low rumble, loud but not obnoxious. A common comment that I get is "It makes the bike sound like a Harley should sound." And for a 2 into 1 it's a pretty sleek looking pipe.
Great looking scoot! I will be installing a Thunderheader on my '00 Fatboy next month.

V&H staggered w/ quite baffles ... they are plenty loud and sound good. Had dealer installed at time of purchase. I agree with previous post that longs look best with the bags and staggers with bags off. Thought that I might leave the bags off more than I do as they are so handy to have as I ride every day so I keep rain gear, sun tan lotion, water, etc in the bags. I might switch to true duals at some point or else buy a second bike ... time will tell. I truly believe that the loud pipes are safer as I drive every day in moderate traffic and do not have a problem of cars cutting me off or not knowing that I am next to them. Most drivers seem to back off and give me space.
Very nice bike.......same as mine! I love the bunnies in the background as well.
Thanks a lot! I have been up in the air about pipes to get for my Heritage Classic. I think after reading these posts and doing research I'm going to go with V&H BSS. Will post pictures later.
