I am about to get a fairing off of ebay but am having trouble finding the detachable windshield mounting hardware for my 2002 Fatboy. Anyone know a part number or know where I might find said hardware? I looked on the HD site but the only mounting hardware I found did not have a set for my FLSTF.

For a PGR bro I'd be glad to help; email me... I will see if I can dig up the instruction sheet with the part number for the grommet kit.
Did the same thing... bought a windshield off Ebay, bought the bracket kit from HD, and modified my fairing brackets to mount in the detachable stuff.

They are cheap, but they work. Nowhere near as solid as a HD trunk, but 25% of the price. You get what you pay for.
