Here i am back with another question about how to remove my 2006 fatboy tank its carb. i have already flushed all the fuel by removing the crossover hose in front of the tank, that connect both the partition, also i have disconnected the fuel gage. all i want to kno is do i have to open the fuel shutoff valve (which is used for turning the fuel at ON, OFF or RESERVE position) also there is a wire attaches to the back of this valve that goes to the carb. need some suggestions

Also take off the vent tube on the right front of the tank. Take off the dash and either unplug everything or hand it over the bars with some towels to protect from scratching it. Unbolt the front and rear, remove the fuel line at the petcock and take it off. The hardest part is draining th fuel.
That's for sure. everything else is pretty much 'cut and dry'. The balance tube in the front is a mess if you don't get the gas out of the tank. Once you do it one or two times you'll get comfortable with it.
