bummer, i only had the TROLL stolen this last weekend. There are some real low lifes out there. if it was individual most likely they will find him. the problem is how much effort will they put in finding him.
That sucks. They have been "bike-jacking" here lately... they tried to get a girl im my MC... luckily, she's a beast on the bike, been riding a long time.. not to mention.. she had her piece.. we try not to ride alone (all female mc club)
I'm sorry if I missed this but you said the cops have a video....
Was the bike rolled up into a pick up or did he hot wire it and ride away? Just curious how they did it.
So for the delay in replying. I've been busy trying to catalogue everything I had into my bike.
The bike was parked in the most visible place at the mall with the ignition locked. I remember hearing the siren chirp as I set the alarm as I walked away. I left for two and half hours and it was gone. The police told me only that the surveilance looked as though the guy walked over to the bike, got on it, put a key in the ignition, and drove away. I have only ever had one key for my bike, of which I still have. As for the alarm, I have no clue about why it didn't work?
I am pretty sure the police won't let me see the footage due to a possible intervention on my part. I don't know what would give them the idea that I would harm them if I did find the guy?
As for Insurance, it should be fully covered. I have to wait 30 days to see if they find it and then have to deal with the adjuster.
did you get the bike new? if he had the other key maybe he was the original owner. as for locking the ignition i dont use it or the fork lock. i like the new 2 way alarms you can get aftermarket that page you or call your cell phone and they even have one you can track yourself on the web and then there is the $800 lojack that they now call you before calling the police. i guess we have to go back to the old days of a chain and over size padlock. the chain has dual purpose.
post more pictures and we can all look out for it, also what PD to call if we see it?
