Some A$$hat stole my Harley this past Sunday. Police have the guy on surveillance video from the mall so there may be some hope of them finding him. I'm not holding my breath though.
Sorry to hear of your loss, did you have the bike locked? I always wonder when I park my bike whether the ignition lock would prevent someone from stealing my ride. Hope you get your bike back, I know the insurance company could not reimburse you for your loss...
Im always worried about my bike.... even my old metric I had. Really sorry to hear about it hope they catch the ******* that took your ride. Some people dont realize that they're stealing your lifeblood for some quick cash because they cant hold a real job.
I was lucky enough to get a security system with the bike. So either you have to know the code AND pick the ignition lock AND the fork lock.... or have a bunch of really strong guys to pick the bike up when the forks are locked.
And yeah hopefully insurance will reimburse you well. With my 80' Vette I even had full coverage just because I wanted that exact same car back if someone took her. The insurance lady gave me **** and asked if I even knew what blue book value was. Told her I didnt care I was getting the car back if I lost her. I know being in the Navy that I would have a lot of friends going out and looking for my car or my bike if someone stole it.
Sorry man. Hope they find it in one piece for you.
I've been considering having the dealer install a Lojack alarm on mine.
Hearing about your loss makes the price seem not so bad.
This is what do when a leav my bike somewhere even for a short amount of time.
I take the shorter spark plug wire with me and unplug the longer one but leave it on top of the plug. even if it does get stolen there gonna have a hell of a time trying to get a fast escape.
and the only bad thing about lo jack these days is they cam out wit new models so the price is double what I paid for it. I got mine installed from the dealer for 695, I know now its over a G for it.
