I've got over 7k miles on my S-11 @ 40-41psi and still haven't hit the wear marks. Comtrac doing well at over 12k miles.
How many miles did you get on your S-11 front?

I think it was just approaching the wear bars at 8k. I even kept it for a spare, since it still grips very well. But nothing like the Shinko 777. That thing is a beast!

I think that Austone is the ROUNDEST CT I've seen yet, not that it matters in relation to the way they corner - my Vred is near to come off and the Austone on the wall get it's trial. The Vred isn't worn out yet, but with over 20k on it, I'm noticing less braking traction lately, like the rubber has hardened or is harder near the cords.
I ride way too hard for that, so I think I'll yank it.

i absolutely love your Dual Disks on front of your scoot, ( imo, it OUGHT to come that way from the factory, SHAME on you HD ) & you used the best braking components to boot

also, like the fact that you didn't follow the herd mentality here by slamming that scoot down to the framerails ( which very effectively eliminates ANY cornering characteristics ) & went in the opposite direction by installing longer tubes & gaining one of THE MOST IMPORTANT characteristics in motorcycling performance,,, lean angle

oh ya,, & the CT on the rear,, lol

DAMN fine job

DAMN fine scoot

have fun on it bro

edit: MM also makes a full floating rotor for the rear also

Hey Dawg! It's been a minnit!
I love those brakes too; first thing I think when I see duals is "what tha hell was Harley thinkin", but I do understand that the Heritage was supposed to copy what came before. Still, after years of drum brakes, I'm not really complainin'.
Hey, I didn't go for the cams yet because...well, guess wut I done went and did?

Heheh....they LOCK, too! Making the brackets and mounts was a booger. Some more pics:

love the long tall look on that front end,, love to see that added distance between the headlight & fender

that Shinko's looking mighty fat out front,, what size u running ? will prolly go the same route with mine when it's time for the DD win

also while i'm here

let us know how she feels after you shoe on that taxi tire, it does feel like it's got a bit more flex in the sidewalls than the Vred, but to compensate, i'm running a bit more pressure & my scoots loving it

What pressure are you running in that Austone? I'm up to 38 lb and it still feels soft in a fast sweeper.

The Shinko 777 is 140mm; all that will fit in the Herry fender. Sonovagun is the best front I've ever run...and CHEAP too! I think it's made out of GLUE. I think I had the chicken strip gone the first day on it. Now to see how long it lives, although I'm tempted to stay with them regardless of mileage.
Thanx for the headup on the Austone pressure; I'll start a little high.
