Default Rocker tail end rebuild

Hi all,
Got plans on redoing the back of my rocker this winter and have been looking at different solutions, Dany Gray sadle (hard on the passenger), heartland (nice but expensive ), Rocket Bobs from england (same kind of thing as heartland but half the price). Any body here that has the rocket bob instaled? would be nice with some feed back on that one, seen many heartlands, seem quite common. The rocket bob seems to give more flexibility for personalizing your build. Or is ther any one who has some other great idiea how to get rid of that horible gap from fender to sadle?

Where will this one take us? Been a couple of threads about this over the last few days.

I'm going with the DG seat myself, but i don't carry a passenger. Do a quick search of the softail section or a tag search on rocker to check out the other treads or go through the rocker picture thread. A ton of great ideas there. Good luck.

Go for the Rocket Bob's set up. I've contacted them a few months back exchanged a few emails with Pete. Very cool bunch of guys. They gave me some base prices for the fender and seat and a general shipping cost to Hawaii and it still came out cheaper than the Heartland kit.

Man, that Red Rocker that Rocket Bob did was amazing! Do a search for username pintail if you want to see the thread.

Jo-Jo, pull the trigger on that thing. You know you want to!

Thanks for the feed back, i think i will be aiming for Rocket Bobs, turns out lots cheaper than the heartland over here in Sweden to cause of import taxes and shipping.
Seems like they are developing a passenger pad to go with the main seat as option.
I'l post a new thread with pics when i start the build this winter.

Looking forward to follow your project. They did an amazing job with the red one. How much are they asking?

It appears from the picture that rocket bob's fender doesnt have a rock guard. That might explain the lower price. I chose the heartland for the second seat option.

It's obvious from the amount of threads that 99%+ of the people who bought Rockers did so because it has a 240mm rear tire. Wouldn't it have been cheaper and in some ways even better looking if you had just bought a wide tire conversion kit for a, FXST model? The rear seat gap is there because HD eng. designed the "rocker" rear end to be a free moving strutless suspending shock, don't these Hearland and other conversions basically render your Rocker a hard tail?

Only if they remove the rear shocks. It does change it from a Rocker to a Softail.
Since the rear fender rocks with the swingarm, they basically converted it to a softail.
