My wife has a 09 FLSTC with a pair of Rush Slip-ons. Everything else is stock. Bike is running hot. Added some heat shields, but she still complains. Been reading about remapping the fuel system. Called V&H about their FuelPak. Tech guy says their product was not designed to help a hot running (lean?) engine.. Any suggestions besides taking it to the stealer for a remap?
My wife's 09 FLSTC has the same issue with the Rush Slip-ons. I removed them and installed on my 10 FLSTC that has the Stage 1 download and my bike runs hot. i guess that what you get when you buy a air-cooled motor. i have a set of true duals to install next week, maybe that will make a difference. We will see or feel....
When I first got my bike...first thing I did was install Xieds....
While Running Stock Pipes and A/C it did cut down on the heat...and IMO the motor ran better
It's a inexpensive modification...
From what I have been told... the HD download does nothing for your A/F ratio...

How long has your wife been riding a Harley. air cooled makes the engine hot. Even more so on a hot day. Get on the open road and it cools down
