Been noticing for a while a "stain" on my the top of my primary/inner primary on my Night Train. Thought it was dirt/dust clinging to some past sealer residue or something. Out in the sun standing over it today, I noticed that it was right below my petcock. Sure enough the sucker is seeping I guess and dripping down on the primary cover. Anything I can use to remove this after I decide what I want to do about the petcock....HD or Pingel.....that is the question
Try some 409 or Simple Green. As far as Pingel, they are a very nice and very expensive petcock. Think before I would invest in a new one i would remove the old one and wrap some teflon tape around it and re-install.
Agreed I love that stuff, Once you clean the area with a soft bristle tooth brush (very gently) and some dish washing soap. Let the water dry off good (Compressed air hose works great). Then spray on the s100 engine brightener and let sit a few minutes and wipe off of any chrome or polished surfaces and it looks like new. Here is the link http://www.s100.com/s100_eb.htm
Just about all motorcycle shops sell s100 products. Just make sure you get the engine brightner.

Thanks for the ideas guys! I had bought a can of the engine brightener but have not had a chance to use it yet. Think I will clean it some with the soft toothbrush and some Dawn dishwashing soap. Then after it dries, follow up with the S100. Will let you know how it turns out.
