Polish your rotor while you've got it apart. Start with 200 grit paper and move up about 200 at a time. About a minute or two with a vibrator type sander with each grit will do it. End with 2000 and you'll get a polish like chrome. It was easier than I would have thought.

I have an '09 Deluxe and everything is already chrome except for the lower sliders and the tin covers. This is the way the '09's came from the dealer. So the cheapest way to go is to just buy the lower sliders and the chrome tin covers. Much cheaper than buying the complete chrome front end kit.

Well that is a complete chrome kit....lower sliders/tins/spacers/caps/ect......you save with buying the complete chrome kit. You could just buy the lower sliders/cow bells/back plates for less but then you would be missing everything else. So NO everything is NOT already chromed on a 09' Deluxe.

And there are deals to be had if you look and look....i found mine on e-bay for $122.00 shipped for a brand new complete genuine HD chrome kit. 2 winters ago..... One of my best buy for the money so far.

Ok. Let me restate this then. The dealer I went to already had all the chrome front parts except for the lower sliders and the slider tins. Everything above, front and back were already chrome. This is how they were selling THEIR deluxes. I wasn't stating that all deluxes came this way from every dealer. Sorry if you took it this way.

But as BLKnCHRME09Deluxe stated. If you need the complete kit, check out e-bay. As their are surely deals to be had for a much better price then going thru the dealer. BLKnCHRME09Deluxe you sure did get a good deal on your HD Chrome kit.

Yep i got a great deal! Took me 2 months of looken almost everyday on e-bay. Paid $122.00 shipped and then resold headlight backplate-axle covers back on e-bay. lol...so i got it for even cheaper because of the extra parts resale...
