Rob, there are numerous brands available. Check out Carlini's. That is what I run, I had Wild 1's before that. I am 5'9" and run 16"'s so I think 12"'s would be fine for you. When you decide what you want give me a shout and I can get you most everything you need at discounted forum pricing. Email me at DREW@DRVTWIN.COM

I have some Todd's Cycle 17" apes on order but won't be put on until after the Sturgis Rally as Black Hills HD is crazy busy now. I'm about 6'2" with long arms so that's why I went with them.
12's will probably be perfect for you, especially if you go with a C&C seat or something that lowers you a bit. I know you don't plan on keeping that stock seat now, I don't know anyone that can take that thing after 50 miles!

Im glad that you posted this. I thought it was just me not used to riding. After about 4 hours, I start getting bike a$$. I need a better seat.
Carlini does make an awsome bar Nubs. Dr. VTwin knows his stuff. As far as the height goes dont try and guage it by how tall you are, sit on the bike and pull some measurments. I went as far as to make a mock set with PVC just to try everything. I got lucky at a local shop that had different sizes of physco chubbies and I sat on the bike while they held them on the front of the bike. Its all about what u want on this deal. As far as the black goes I've seen powder coated and black chrome. Both look good imo. Good luck.
