Doing a little research on big bore kits availble for my 04 carbed Fatboy, but I'm having a hard time choosing with so many different kits available.
Would like to do the whole thing at one shot. Buy the Harley hydraulic kit to get rid of the spring tensioners or change to geared cams if runout is okay. New cams, heads and cylinders. 95", 97", 98" or ???? Or should I buy the parts from different manufacturers.
Anyone offer a complete kit? Most bang for you buck.
I wouldn't try to mix and match parts from different mfgs. Talk to a good builder that can design a complete package for you according to your riding style and wants. I went with Scott at Hillside and am happy as can be. We talked about what I wanted and how I rode and he came up with the right recipe. Lots of things to consider ( cams, headwork to match cams, compression, etc.), a good builder can design a complete package that will give you what you want.
