Fatboy front suspension
Has anyone tried the Screaming Eagle fork oil or used a heavier oil in the front forks? From 60 plus, every little bump in the road, the front end seems to bounce up and down, giving me the feeling like I am not in contact with the road. I really don't want to replace the springs unless that is the only way to fix it. Its an 04.
I use the SE Heavy Fork oil with good results but I also changed out the springs for Progressive Replacements.
I have a set of Progressive replacement springs for sale $ 50.00 OBO including shipping. They are direct rreplacement for your 04 fork springs. I ran them in my 05 fatboy for a year until I installed a lowering kit and had to changesprings and dampers.
PM me if interested

I think I will try changing the fork oil for now, thats the cheapest and easiest thing to do. Seems like if the dealers automatically change to SE oil, they know there is an issue.
Just changed fork oil a couple weeks ago with Maxima 15w. The best $20 mod yet. Took out some of the front brake dive yet still rides nice, just a little better planted. Get new gaskets, you can reuse the drain screws if you want.
Ok, thanks for the input, I got the old fluid out. Right side didn't have very much fluid and was a light brown color. Left side was jet black, but looked like it had the right amount in there. What gasket do I need to replace? The one under the drain screw? Or do i just ask for drain screw gasket for forks. My manual doesn't show the part number.

Its no wonder the front end doesn't feel right.
